If you are looking for a system with great performance and break the bank, this is a great option. Looked at several systems including Panasonic, and JVC but this one at the Crutchfield price was the best deal by far. Set up very easy (including the auto tune feature for the surround sound) and use of system very straight forward. The speakers are small, but still deliver great sound quality, and can be hidden quite nicely in an entertainment center or on a bookshelf (I chose not to use the stands for the front speakers). The only downside is if you need longer speaker wire, you will have to use the Sony wires since they have a Sony specific hookup to the back of the receiver. Definately worth a serious look.

I am pleasantly surprised with the overall sound and quality of this unit. This is in my finished basement hooked to my Samsung rear projection t.v. The only reason I am not giving it a full rating is on the speed of reading the disc. Little slow...but worth the sound and disc capacity.

This is our first Home Theater System, the price and quality are just great. As for service, I ordered this product at 1:30 PM on a Tuesday and it arrived at 9:30AM on Wednesday, you couldn't get a Christmas card from your next door neighbor that quickly. System was fairly easy to install, I had one question on the wiring installation, called a Crutchfield service technician, immediately I got a live person and within one minuteproblem solved. I am very impressed with the product and with Crutchfield.

Sound quality is great for the money , was toss up between this and panasonic but panasonic system speakers do not have hard front casing which I need because of my cat always scratching mess on my speakers.

With movies, the sound is good , but with the tv (cable or satellite receiver) the quality is very poor, it is almost in max and it sounds normal, not loud at all., but for the price is a very good buy, I'm very happy with all the features and the remotecontrol is very easy to use. I recommend this top anybody who wants to spend about 400 on a home theather.

I had purchased a few different home audio systems and taken them back in search of the one that would meet my expectations. After purchasing this Sony system my search ended. ( I had purchased a Samsung, an LG, and a Panasonic at this point, all of which I returned) Sometimes in the store it can be very hard to tell how good the quality really will be once you get it home...

Pros: This is a nice surround sound DVD reciever with HDMI output. The Finish of the speakers and head unit are very nice, complimenting any living rooms decor with the small stylish satellite speakers. Easy color coded speaker connections, and HDMI output make connecting this unit a snap. Price /performance is good for the power and speakers you get out of this setup, would cost more to buy seperate. Component output is actually better for me on my TV than HDMI because my TV applies Anti-Ailiasing on theanalog connection, whereas HDMI is not anti-ailiased, making the movies appear slightly more pixelated.

Sony DX-375 System Used it for 4 days and return it. I bought the 1000 watt Sony unit for my 23’x 27’family room. This unit was unable to fill my room with sound like my old Kenwood 600watt, 5.1 Receiver System. The Sony can’t be 1000 watts maybe 300 watts. I think the Sony DX-375 would make a good system for a small bedroom where you really don’t want to feel the action.

Generally easy to set up, but two small criticisms. (1) Not all the cables necessary to connect everything are included. (2) The stands are only designed to work with the primary front speakers, but my set-up requires the rear speakers to be on the stands, but they won't fit properly on the stand. This should be a simple engineering problem that Sony could have solved in designing the speakers and stands to be interchangeable, front and back. Oh well!

I bought the system to replace a AM/FM receiver amplifier, 5-disk CD changer, and DVD player. It fills all those roles in a single compact unit.

This is the first Home Theater system I've owned and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I was shocked at the sound, and how it filled the room. The system is easy to setup, has good directions, and adjusts itself based upon speaker location and the microphone. I would definitely recommend the system to anyone.

I needed something simple and not too expensive so my wife would not object. Without a lot of investigation I settled on this system and have been pleased by the quaity and the flexibility of the system. I had to have speakers that I could hide in our living room. It's great.

processor must deliver frequencies lower than satalite speakers can handle because I already have a speaker bottoming out

I have a very odd shaped livingroom and was not sure if it was going to work and sound good. It sounds great. The little noises that get drowned out on the regular tv stands out on this. Some times I think I am hearing things that are going on outside.

It's very easy to install and can have theater like sound effect for home entertainment

Got this in a thanksgiving deal. I must say that I am giving my neighbor a run for his money by shaking his apartment unit once in a while (it was his monopoly before we bought this system).

Sound quality is nice. Easy set up instructions. 5 dvd/cd changer only allows to enter one dvd at a time because the system stacks the dvds instead of opening up with a spot for each dvd for you to put in. Nice system for the money.

I wanted a surround sound for a resonable price. And this is the best for its cost.

Easy to use and change venues. Hook up instructions could be more simple. Sound is very good for the price. This unit add a lot to my HD TV.

I really like my home theater system. the only thing I did'nt like was the remote was not univisal. but when you have others remote it work just fine. great for my living room.

I bought this unit on 11/17 and I am returning it on Mondat 11/20. If the system had a decent sound volume I think that I would kep it. Had it cranked up ALL the way and it still couldn't fill a 20x20 room.

Hook ups are easy.Sound is great. The subwoofer will knock your socks off.Basic number of I/O hookups could use a imput to match Dish output.
